During peak season—Easter and Christmas week, 16 or so people might be on our section of the beach. Maybe. If they all come out to play at once. Other parts of Troncones, with hotels and restaurants, get more people.

The rest of the year, beach population in front of the house ranges from hermit crabs and white egrets, to the occasional fisherman, to a lone family frolicking in the waves (our sandy swimming hole is occasionally discovered). Visitors on horseback wander by now and then, and Che, the white lab from down the beach, ocasionally comes to visit. That’s about it.

At night, the beach is deserted, except for the occasional turtle laying her eggs (and sporadic turtle egg eco tours). The only crowd ever on our beach is the most impressive display of stars we have ever seen, anywhere. Unless it’s cloudy, the milky way is clearly visible overhead. And full moons at the Oasis are truly magical. Ahhh. (We seriously recommend planning your stay during a full moon.)

This kind of privacy and peace are hard to find in our fast-paced world. Especially only a short flight and a 25-minute drive from an international airport. And they are a big part of what makes Casa Oasis Troncones so special.

Enjoy tropical living in our open living areas. But, most of all, renew your spirit on our tranquil, three-mile stretch of crowd-free seashore. Take long, solitary walks or runs, surf the advanced breaks you can check out from your balcony, or just play in the waves on the shallow, sandy beach right in front of the house (surf permitting).

Watch the waves, enjoy a glowing sunrise and/or sunset, or see whales and dolphins frolic—all from the comfort of your beachfront sofa. Cook up a storm in your fully equipped kitchen (fruit/veggie, fish, & beer trucks pass by almost daily).

As we are at the end of a long residential beach, the sound of the waves and the songs of tropical birds will be your only soundtrack. In this quiet desert-island setting, you might be tempted to remain unconnected from the hectic world, but, just in case—we have wifi and cell phone coverage.

If it’s peace you’re after, you’ll find it here. We are at the end of a long, nearly empty, residential stretch of beach. It also happens to be the prettiest and most peaceful end of the 3-mile beach.

The spacious flat comprises the entire second floor and is very private, with its own entrance and beach access, and only the onsite manager and part-time staff are around. A handful of tourists and fishermen wander by on the beach now and then. And the sea turtles lay their eggs. That’s about it.

Stay at Casa Oasis and enjoy solitary dawn beach walks as the sky lights up just for you, practically private sunset swims as the clouds fade to midnight blue—and sunny days, warm clean waters and endless ocean vistas in between—what more could one want?

We are far closer to town than many other rentals (i.e.: Manzanillo Bay, or Majahua.) Just over a kilometer away — a five minute drive or a 10-15 minute walk — from “downtown” Troncones’ mild hubbub and more crowded, restaurant-lined main beach, we are close enough to enjoy all the pueblo has to offer, yet not too close…so you can really relish your peace.

Troncones is an oasis of biodiversity.

With very little developed land, a partially-paved main road, and few buildings over two stories tall, this area is all about Nature, with a capital N. Apart from pristine beaches and clean, clear and warm waters, Troncones boasts lush tropical forests, mangrove groves , rivers, waterfalls and lagoons.

Watch giant iguanas sunbathe on palm trees, watch hundreds of species of tropical birds, and help release baby sea turtles at sunset—all right in town. Or, get out and about and do and see even more — with activities like mountain biking, hiking, lagoon and river kayaking, and even spelunking.

Local eco tour companies provide affordable and fun daily excursions to sample the ecological riches of the Troncones area.

Naturally, Casa Oasis is the perfect home base from which to explore it all. A spectacular variety of birds hang out near the house, including orioles, woodpeckers, wild turkeys and the occasional wild parrot. Fish ply the waters of our swimming hole, and endangered  sea turtles are very fond of laying eggs on our sandy, sleepy end of the beach. And, of course, there are the ever-present bug-eating geckos and the occasional iguana visitor.

Enjoy all kinds of activities on our three-mile stretch of nearly empty beach. Spend the day splashing around and/or boogie boarding on the great swimming beach right out front. Take long walks, runs, or horseback rides on our crowd-free beach. Or just relax in the hammock, read, and recharge your batteries.

There’s an advanced beach break down the beach, and many other great surf breaks are just a short drive away, including Saladita, aka “The Wave Machine” (a great spot for beginners and long boarders).

A nearby resort offers daily yoga, meditation, and chi gong classes (as well as gourmet food)—all with a stunning ocean view. Local surf schools and eco tour companies provide additional entertainment and exercise, just to make you happy. Surfboards, stand up paddle boards, bikes and ATV’s can all be rented nearby.

Or if you’d rather just chill out and recharge your batteries, perhaps you need to lay on the beach and work on your tan, while sipping a cold beer? And when you get too hot, make a splash in the clean, clear Pacific ocean. If you’re after the ultimate relaxing beach vacation, don’t forget about quality hammock time under swaying palm trees, tide pool exploration, and long sunset walks.

daytrips to the ‘big city’  Nearby Ixtapa and Zihuatanejo serve up a cornucopia of more urban entertainments―shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, movie theatres, amusement parks, dolphinariums, etc.―even miniature golf, Magic World adventure park, and “Flintstones Land” for the kiddies.  In Zihuatanejo, you can participate in activities such as paintball, parasailing, jet skis and more.
